Tasting Notes
A boutique, 135 bottle release, exclusive to Bruny Island House of Whisky.
This release was made in collaboration with Waubs Harbour, a remote, maritime distillery on Tasmania’s far east coast.
Nose: An initial note of Vanilla with candy-sweet hints,
Palate: Smooth and sweet,a nod towards oak grain with stone fruits layered on top.
Finish: Complex malt and slightly bitter plum, dancing through the more classic Port-sweet influence, with a lingering suggestion of sea salt.
Aged at Waub Harbour’s Sea-side Bondstore, where the salt heavy air draws more water out of the casks to intensify the flavors, and the ocean atmosphere seeps in to replace the Angel’s share.
